Ben grew up in “Stephen King country” of rural Maine before attending film school in New York. He then moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and started his career in the film industry at a post-production house where he worked on trailer campaigns for indie darlings like A SCANNER DARKLY and blockbusters like HARRY POTTER.

Ben transitioned into writing and producing video content for GameTrailers.com where his videos racked up millions of views which helped get the attention of MTV/Viacom who then acquired the website.

From there Ben started making his own films. Since 2010 Ben has written and directed over 15 shorts, a web series and the award-winning feature film, LAST GIRL STANDING, which earned Ben 2 Best Director awards on the festival circuit and was nominated by FANGORIA for Best Screenplay.

Most recently, Ben’s new script (POUND FOR POUND) won Best Horror Screenplay at the Austin Film Festival.

Ben is currently developing his next feature film, eating tacos and playing video games with his 11-year-old son.
